The Cyber Mentor Collective will support teachers by helping new CyberPatriot club teams get started.
We are excited to announce a new partnership with Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) and Espanola Valley High School(EVHS), funded by Reboot Representation.
This Partnership will allow NNMC undergraduate students who have tech skills like computer science, cybersecurity, and engineering to become mentors for EVHS students through CyberPatriot Clubs. The undergrads will be supported by NNMC and CS Alliance to develop their ‘mentoring’ mindset as peer mentors to area high school students. Their tech skills will be put to use to help start and sustain cyber summer camps and CyberPatriot club teams. This work builds off of the original project, STEM Mentor Collective, that Dr. Steve Cox created in 2017 which has iterated and beautifully metamorphosed into the Española GloveWorks. CS Alliance will support this work and bring a new focus on cybersecurity education.

This is a paid position that will come with lots of support to develop your mentoring mindset and your technical expertise to help the CyberPatriot clubs. No prior cybersecurity knowledge required, but would be highly valued.
Remember that you should be enrolled at NNMC and be able to:
- Pass a background check
- Pass a Drug test
- Registered in at least 6 Credit hours
- Have at least a 2.5 GPA (exceptions will be made in special Circumstances)
- Be highly motivated and willing to work with high school students and teachers.
